REPORTCARDS
Children who attended school within the Village did so in a separate school building which continued to gave each child the sense that they were leaving home — the cottage — each morning to go to school. When they received a report card four times each school year, the effect was continued as they brought the card "home" to the cottage mother who signed it and perhaps enforced the need to concentrate more on their homework.
Several report cards are still to this day in the possession of those who once attended Mother Evangelista School.
